On the double denim thing, I have to admit I always try to avoid it. If I do go for it I try and team old and fresh denim together to at least have a bit of contrast.

There’s always a danger you’ll end up looking like you’re wearing a bin-mans overalls. Best avoided.

If you want jeans that are a colour other than indigo denim, go for corduory.

In earth colours, stone, tan, brown, olive they are the business, ideally with a semi-flare so they sit just right. Just the thing with a nice bit of tweed or a wax jacket.

And they are a good way of avoiding the double denim thing.

To be honest, there has never been anything wrong with double denim. It just proves the mainstream fashion industry is totally useless.
